What We Do
Our Work
Zaawiya believes the education system for children requires sustained focus, and in some areas a reset. We see two key issues:
- Lack of education: Every child has the right to an education. Globally 263 million children are out of school. Conflict and poverty are the key causes for children being out of education
- Lack of quality within education: The current conveyor belt educational systems fail to address a number of development requirements for children. Children need to develop intellectually, physically, psychologically, socially and spiritually. Only such a holistic educational system will allow them to lead a meaningful life and contribute towards society.
To address the above issues in a combined manner, Zaawiya provides financial and professional expertise to:
- organisations that provide holistic education and that encourage enrolment of students face hardship
- students, facing financial hardships or in emergency situations, seeking a quality education
